A lot of problems with fruit cracking in my soil, more spoiled tomatoes than I was happy with. KBX was an exception. Earl of Edgecombe was too but it was unproductive. Making some adjustments this year and growing these:

Maters have been officially started I switched a few took out one of the micros for yellow brick road and decided not to grow the big one this year I’ve just got to focus on really getting good maters this year

So one crowded gym for a seed swap later:

- Rutgers is on my list instead of Wisconsin 55 for a mid sized basic slicer.

- I didn't find a paste tomato that was also determinate aside from more Roma/Roma VF. I picked up Bushsteak which is still pretty meaty for a flavor complement to my sauce making. The cute ~2ish foot growth on them is perfect. The tomatoes for my nearby community garden plot were selected on a strict, "I'm giving you one stake, no cages, no trellis, one stake...you better be able to deal with it" rule. The small backyard tomato area gets my unruly indeterminates.

I already have seedlings outside the window at home, which I will plant under glass in a cold frame around March 25. The larger ones at the back are the parthenocarpic varieties Gold Nugget, Oregon Spring, Oregon Eleven, Oroma, Santiam and Siletz. The ones in front are shrubs Sophie's Choice, Maglia Rosa, Jagodka, Sarayev Shtambovyi, Mongolian Karlik, Lyana Rozovaya and Vspyschka.
In a fortnight I will sow the seeds of Indeterminate varieties, which I will plant freely in the garden beds after May 15. I have the following seeds ready:

If I had to, I could whittle my list down to these favorites: Benevento F1 and Polaris for tomato sandwiches, Purple Boy F1 for a reliable tasty medium tomato, and for cherries, Rosella cherry and Chocolate Sprinkles F1. All of these did very well last year despite the root-knot nematodes in some beds. A month ago I planted Kodiak mustard, which is nematocidal if it's chopped and incorporated into the soil at the right time.

Of course, I'm growing more than 5 varieties! This is what I seeded last week, in addition to those 5:

I have no idea but I grew polish giant last year and some other one the plants grew very well but I didnt get to harvest anything because we had a cold summer last year.. I will be growing the westerlund and big zac from that grower..

Sorry but I couldn't help but think that since I'm a Texas person that the words "cold" and "summer" don't belong in the same sentence.

I'm assuming they're (except for the Domingo cross) open pollinated or it would otherwise be stated F1.

I am planning to sow tomatoes today. I have the pluggbox filled with coir and it can fit 49 seeds, but I have hard time selecting varieties. I have purchased 3 new and @Cornelius_Gotchberg sent me seeds for 3 new varieties, so those I must try this year. Last year I had some unique looking hairy and striped varieties, which were disappointing by taste, so now I tried to select such which taste good and have been prolific.

Have you tried kimberkey? That tomato was such a success in my garden last year. Was early, did fine with the cold, gave me tomatoes for a long time and tasted very good considering is an early cold tolerant type. Im testing different early tomatoes this year but ill defenetly be growing kimberley again.

@Moth1992 no I haven’t tried it yet I will put that on the list for next year..think I'm at a max haha

Is Lebanese of the Mountain and Omar's Lebanese the same variety or related?

Dester is a wonderful pink beefsteak. I liked it very much and it's remained on my grow again list since 2012. Very well balanced. A good producer. I used it for fresh eating, salads, salsa, sandwiches and sauce. It worked well in all cases.
