Day 64 of 2024 Leap Year Of The BLT!, 302 left. Woodman's vine-ripened Heirlooms have soared from $1.49/lb to $2.49/lb., The Gotch is considering taking in wash or launching a GoFundMe account to bankroll our Monday Morning BLT Brunch; these here Pretties were near perfectly firmness & TRÈS tasty:

My every Monday Morning BLT Brunch Tomato purchase is overseen by the looming specter of @MissS (Red Ball) and @Tormato (cardboard).

During yesterday's foray to Woodman's to select this coming Monday's participants, I observed a woman sizing up what really were Red Balls: Nondescript beefsteaks from a collection best suited for dribbling.

Immediately, the aforementioned TJers' virtual presence seized my attention with: "Gotch, yer honestly going to let her buy one of.....THOSE???"

Choosing to heed this "sign" rather than forever hold my peace, I approached her and said: "Excuse me, I recommend you's consider the Vine-ripened Heirlooms rather than those, the difference in taste and texture will easily be worth the extra 60¢ or 70¢; just make sure they aren't too soft"

She: "You know, I'm going to do that; thanks!"

My existence validated, if briefly, I sally forth to remedy the next 1st World Problem I encounter...

Today's makings,
17104662471628333564311764486960.jpg
Featuring Elbonian Mudslinger. All three different plants I have in of this variety are producing delicious fruit, not a lot of difference in taste between them. Also Crystal Apple cucumber, beetroot and garden sorrel, which I have to protect from the local Wood Ducks, which have taken a liking to it

Refer to the two Elbonian tomato threads in the tomato talk sub forum for further information @Cornelius_Gotchberg. It is one of five Elbonian varieties that originated with @Tormato and are most likely available through the MMMM. If not PM your address and I will send some for the four that I have. My glog has further information also.
