There has been pushback on the internet against the game recently having a few puzzles that were too difficult to solve. I read an article that stated the game was stacked against millennials.
What is the point of playing a game if the game can never beat you?
The generation that started participation trophies because having a winner wasn't 'fair' to everyone or was that Gen Z... UGH...
I like Wordle, I LOVE Quordle. Still can't get the 4 words in less than 8 tries, and man, today the game beat me! Maybe I should complain to someone that it's 'too hard'... bahaha!!!!

It could be said that it is stacked against Americans because it originated in the UK. Yesterdays word was a prime example, it was "BLOKE". Only mentioning the word because its over and the archive is gone so unlikely anyone is still working on it. But how many people here use the word? But if you read, if you watch news and interviews with people around the world, you still know the word. Does it come to mind as quickly as others? No. But I got it, it certainly isn't impossible. I havent read why it is "stacked against millenials". Maybe they don't read or watch TV or news? I also read it is stacked against people who are not homeowners because one word was Calk. Really? I knew what calk was as a child. Not because I owned a home but because I grew up in one. Later, I watched HGTV and PBS. Wordle is stacked against anyone who has a limited vocabulary and view of the world, IMHO.

I'm a Brit and I thought Wordle was British because I used to pick it up from a British site. I was, therefore, surprised to see the word color (no "u") in one of the puzzles, and that one took me a bit longer to figure out.... {LOL}. Never assume, I guess!
Bloke was an easy one for me

I don't think I have ever said the word "bloke" aloud. But I have a good chance of hearing it if I watch contemporary British films or television series. My husband is binge watching a British series called "New Tricks." And I am currently waiting for season 4 of "Klling Eve" on BBC America.

Sorry this is Off Topic. SpookyShoe, if hubby likes "New Tricks" he might enjoy "A Touch of Frost" starring David Jason. It's an older detective series that is still excellent

But you got it, I never did! I want extra credit for being able to make so many different words, lol! I had all except one letter and made 4 different words just substituting one letter and they were ALL wrong!
