You ain’t kidding about the cold we have got nothing but rain all summer I have them under a pop up greenhouse house but they are now all getting maters!! Got to try it finally it has very thick skin almost a crunch to it not a bad little guy not bursting with flavor but not bad enough to not grow again so small producer but willing to try again in a bigger pot to see if production is better that being the potted cocoa it’s a very pretty tomato dark as well as it gets riper
July 3rd just tried heart breaker yellow not as thick skinned but it was tart and sweet most definitely will grow again I think if I left it a little longer it would be sweeter but had to try it it’s a keeper

@Moth1992 I got to try the veranda red Wich I’m not shure I mixed this up with rosi finch as well cause they start off light pink then red either way it had zero flavor just tastes like water no flavor I have a few more I pulled off I’ll wait and see ! Does watering when you pick affect the flavor?

Yes! Try not to water few days before picking. It could also be they are just bland like many micros but watering the day before makes it even worse.

Tried some new ones:

Whipper snapper so far is just ok. On the tart side. But very prolific.

Fat frog is the complete oposite. Its mild but also sweet like candy. I wish it had more of a punch to it though.

My rosy finch is just starting to ripen some itsy bitsy pink tomatoes.

Dark stripe micro gave me some beautiful tomatoes. Fuzzy, red with fiery stripes. The flavour is also fairly acceptable for a micro. I think with a bit of salt it will be pretty good.

Still waiting impatiently on maglia.

Ok so this is my report so far:

Bonsay is in full production giving a bunch of cherries. I like this micro. Its the second time I grow it. Will grow again.

Dark Stripe micro while it has an unusual taste I like it. Hasnt been super productive yet but its still not peak season here. Might grow again.

Whiper snapper meh. Wont be growing again. Both in my balcony and in my garden plot the taste has been disapointing. I might actually pull them out tomorrow.

Fat frog gave me some candy tomato in my garden plot but not yet in my balcony ( my balcony is colder, foggier and less sunny). Its sweet but i miss some tomato flavour to it.

Rosy finch has started giving me tomatoes. So far they are pretty good! Not very productive but we will see. If it keeps it up it will be a repeater.

Red robin and Vilma so far have been meh but i need them to produce some more to have a proper veredict.

Jochalos is still infuriatingly behind. Small and hasnt given me a ripe one yet.

Maglia rosa in my garden plot is gigantic and full of tomatoes that have started ripening. And they are very nice. In my balcony however she is not doing that well, she is stunted and is not setting fruit.

@ it has been a sad season for maters big and small my Vilma’s we’re more watery this time and hardly any production so disappointing my yellow hearts breakers pruduced a few good clusters but it was very tart probably won’t grow them again Laura 5 gave a lot of tomatoes and flavor was sweet and tart to me it was worth keeping Rosie finch I had a good amount of tomatoes most of them were very good sweet and tart but toward the end they got more watery . the weather is cold at night so there not turning like they should will try them again I never got to try any of my other ones they just got flowers some didn’t even set buds and it’s to late to save anything!! Very disappointing because I had so many to try I will not be growing any during the winter or next summer I have my indoor wither maters started 15 stick plants and next year is a trial of 7 varieties maybe 8 but micro are just making the cut next season haha

@AKgardener, I just looked up your ten day forecast. Did you guys just skip summer and head right into fall or is this what summer is like? I would sure like to teleport up there for a day so I can catch my breath.

That's a bummer not having your micros make. I think I'm going to do a few again this winter but I just started three dwarfs that are supposed to be just 2-3'. They'll go on a low table here in the computer room with lights on chains attached to hanging basket brackets. We'll see how they do.
