arrivals...
AR Ha M
CA Ha G
FL Ga S
FL Wa S
IL To T
MD He I (my pillow!)
Almost all packages have likely arrived. I'll start updating the tomato master list tonight. Each updated category will have a 2024 date. Micros will be the first update.
The first packages to be sent out will be to newbies and then those in the most southern states. I "may" have a few requests for only a few packets of seeds, which I then might be able to mail from home by Friday or Saturday. The first of the large packages, hopefully means a trip to the post office on Monday.
A second consecutive winter of damp rainy conditions (where's the snow and drier air?) which effects my back and therefore my (lack of) sleep. The holidays were rough, but things are now close to normal

I hear you about a rough holiday! I had a very Covid Christmas, and fell down a flight of stairs besides. But things are getting better! Only a few months more until Spring. At least I was able to sign up for my Community Gardens plot yesterday.
No worries from my end. I appreciate the Gardener's Christmas package that you send. Thank you for all that you do, @Tormato

@Tormato are you doing ok? Is the back pain back?
Dont worry about my seeds, I have plenty from last year so just send them any time and I can use them for next year. You just take care of yourself.

Am I doing OK? No. But, I don't like to talk about my health issues.
I'm running about a month behind schedule. So, updating the seed lists probably won't happen. And, dividing bulk packs of seeds likely won't happen, unless a variety is on someone's wish list. Along with the back, and not enough sleep causing a lack of energy (at least I'm not in a mental fog this year), hand cramps leave me with fingers that often don't work.
I hope to start sending out packages (newbies and southerners) on Monday.
I'm also in a Santa/Christmas card seed swap, and have yet to send anything out.

Tormato, I'm so sorry to hear that, I'm sure we all are. What can we do to help?

Yes, let us help if it is possible! I would be willing to send you a label to ship me seeds to divide and send back, or whatever is needed. This is by far my favorite tomato forum and swap, and I don't want you overwhelmed!
(Gentle hug)

Chronic health issues are such a challenge. There are daily struggles, but you never know when you are going to have a major setback that sidelines you. I am sure that the majority of us have lots of other options to plant, so please take as much time as you need, even months if necessary. Thank you for all that you do.

@Tormato Sorry to hear you aren’t well. If you have any hand written inventories or lists, I’d be happy to do some data entry. (You can snap some pics and send me a PM). Be sure to take care of yourself first. If the swap doesn't happen this season, we will be fine. I’m sure most of us have more than enough seeds to keep going for years.

Gary,
Don't worry about us, we can wait for our seeds ... your health is way more important. I hope you are able to rest. A good night's sleep is so important ( or a few really good naps during the day lol ) And don't worry about the Santa swap.... you can send them whenever you want and besides ... Christmas 2024 is only 11 months away

Dividing the bulk bags aren't a big thing, maybe about 30 varieties out of about 2,000 total. No one will miss 1 or 2 if they receive 150+. I have all year to bag them up for the next swap.

I haven't mailed this year's Christmas cards, yet. (they get stuffed with seeds)
So, 2024 may be my 2025.

The thing is, I do know when I'm going to have a setback, with very cold, wet, damp weather. Two winters in a row, now.

The most important thing is to take care of yourself. The seeds can wait until you're up to it.

Indeed, the cold & damp weather is hard on my arthritis! I don't particularly enjoy it, not one bit. As the others say: I technically have enough seed to last quite a few years. As much as I love seeing the package from you, I value your health more. Get to it when you can and if I can help, please do ask. For now I'll just send a hug and some positive healing vibes!

I can't quit. Plugging along, though slowly, keeps me thinking positive.

Totally. I'll garden for as long as I can move. Not only do I get good veggies, it helps me stay positive. I just pace myself and divvy up the chores accordingly.
