Day 324 of 2024 Leap Year Of The BLT!, 42 remain. The 1st 2024 Garden Tomato Monday Morning BLT Brunch was waaaaaay back on July 22nd, National BLT Day, for you's scoring at home (viewtopic.php?p=129260#p129260)

17 weeks hence, the last 2024 Garden Tomato (Young Strickers Competition Tomato/YSCT) went under the knife, along with a (ugh!) store bought pal: Back yonder; Sliced, @BlackKrim take note of just how gosh darn meaty that there YSCT is, and sliced thick ala the patented @Mark_Thompson method : Aaaaaand plated: The YSCT was a skosh mediocre, but still tasty considering it had been picked back in September and had been sitting on the back porch for > seven (7) weeks (viewtopic.php?p=135988#p135988)

In addition to the ones saved today, there'll be >200 YSCT seeds to distribute. Word to the wise? Start sucking up to the divine @MissS, who'll be handling disbursements....

Not getting any disease resistance to speak of, but taste tests side by side with Mountain Magic have people saying they don’t even taste like the same fruit. Which is interesting.
