@Cornelius_Gotchberg if your ever feeling froggy bokchoy are very easy to grow indoors so are peas and greenbeans .. try it sometime I’ve got patio eggplant growing again it does very well indoors under lights along side of my 6 pepper plants :)

Yes, spring is somewhere near I hope! I have some garlic shoots sticking out of the ground too. And its still February.
As per your recommendation, I am putting all of my cucumber chips on Sweet Success this year. My garden is small so all fingers will be crossed.
BTW, I have hard clay soil too. I suspect that the contractors hauled away the fertile soil and replaced what I have with whatever. I have unearthed all kinds of construction garbage in the yard over the years.

My first sowing for 2024 happened yesterday and it was Green Curled Ruffec Endive. Will be following up with 9 varieties of lettuce in the coming weeks. These get started in my garage under a hanging florescent light fixture. Don't start tomato seeds till April 7th and pepper seed a week later.

Gettin' to be that time, am I right?

I start my Tomatoes on April 2nd (homage to my Dear late Tomato Ranching Father's birthday), and Peppers, Cukes, Basil, & Squarsh ~ten (10) days prior.
