I miss working in the cabinet shop.
I ran the hardwood doors and molding section.
Which meant all the excess scraps ended up in the back of my truck.
Big giant boxes full you had to lift with a forklift.
Cherry was one as well as alder ash oak and so on.
Peach and pear also makes an excellent cooking and smoking wood.

On top of that I was eating one of the giant store tomatoes and I kept having to pick sharp woody slivers out.
It's the darn hard woody core of the tomato.
Going back to Roma tomatoes.

MissS wrote: Mon Jun 17, 2024 11:07 am I have never seen the Cherrywood bacon offered before. With you great reviews, I'm going to have to give it a try. Even though I am in Wisconsin, I don't have a local store that carries it. I have to order it online.
Woodman's does (https://shopwoodmans.com/store/woodmans ... %27s+bacon) and apparently Pick-n-Save/Metro Market does, too https://www.google.com/search?q=nueske+ ... nt=gws-wiz

@Cornelius_Gotchberg So upon your direction dear sir, I went shopping. I got 3 tomatoes and did not find Cherrywood bacon. Which tomato do you suggest I use for a BLT with the Applewood bacon?

I sure do hope this tastes as good as I want it to. I will be using my own home grown lettuce picked fresh out of the garden.

@MissS ¡Maravillosa...que hermosa! where'd you's get them there BEAUTS?

IMO, the dark one at the top will be the tastiest but might leak seeds, the Yeller would be the purdiest (sic), and the Ribbed Reddy the firmest; on a scorcher day like today, you's just can't go wrong, am I right?

Anywho, me? Heck, I'd cut my samitch bread into thirds, slice 'em all, assemble, and dig in....lettuce know how they were.

Medium flat rate boxes ship pretty cheap with USPS, just sayin…

This Pink Gift is just dry enough inside that it wouldn’t make your bread soggy.
