@Tormato "And, it took a Canadian to write about an American ship, although she sunk in Canadian waters."
Do tell!
Lake Michigan is the only Great Lake NOT deemed an International Waterway. Gitche Gumee (AKA The Gitch) has a rolling average surface area of 31699m2/82100km2 of which 11100m2/28750km2 (~35%) is considered Canadian.
The Edmund Fitzgerald went down equidistant from Canadian and U.S. shorelines, and occurred on the lovely and long suffering Mrs. Gotch's 20th birthday.
Yet a burning question remains: Was the tanker named after you or visa versa.....?

There aren’t any sharks in Lake Superior. Mostly.

I only can think of one of his songs, but oh what a song.
Remember many a booze-fogged 1974 night with the eerily catchy Sundown playing on the Juke Box!

This is my year to really get into shape, now that I'm basically pain free.
No longer will people mistake the ship and I as fraternal twins.
Does that answer your question?

@Cornelius_Gotchberg Nice!
I did consider getting more into GL back when I was serious about music and thought I might ought to mold myself more in that direction. There was another song I liked but I don’t remember it.

@Cornelius_Gotchberg I’m not sure if that’s the one I was thinking of, but I definitely know and like that one.

When we were teenagers my sister found a stray bulldog in the pouring rain she named Morrison. He used to sleep down at my feet - at the slightest movement of my legs he would wake up snarling and growl at me until he came to. I remember sweating trying to stay motionless hoping Morrison would wake up nice, or that my sister would come save me.

A rare shot of Mike Pinder playing guitar instead of organ/mellotron.
I have the DVD and you can see Justin Hayward smoking a cigarette between sets.
Mike Pinder smokes before the last song on the DVD.

With all that's going on these days it's time to sit back and contemplate.
