Folks I've spent the last few days running around pre testing stuff to get ready for a fire Marshall inspection.
The system was put in by idiots literally.
None of them knew what they were doing and the building is huge.
Not only testing but fixing as I go.
It's basically only myself and a couple of other guys that are qualified to do it and they are swamped doing other things.
In over 30 years doing this work this is by far the worst job I have ever been on.
I was responsible for the building next to this one but none of the people that did this building are here anymore.
They all quit.
I'm literally 50 feet in front of the fire Marshall fixing things.
This inspection is for the fruit computer company.
šŸŽ
This is what I'm up against.
What a @#$% nightmare.
At least the fire Marshall knows and trusts me.
When he saw me on the job he said, "hey man how's it going."
In this picture I don't think you have to know how this stuff works to know it isn't right.

For about a mile these banners line the front of the Johnson Space Center on NASA Road 1. Artemis will land the first woman and first person of color on the moon.

when we went out to montana one year, we took our old english sheep dog with us.
i forget where we were, maybe south dakota coming home when we stopped for a potty break.
i took the dog out to what looked like a patch of green grass, when she started acting frantic.
she had many little round sticker burrs on her her feet, and legs, then her mouth when she tried to take them off.
i yelled to my wife to grab some scissors. it took a good amount of time to cut all those little burrs out of her coat.
what a nightmare. i wonder if those were buffalo burrs. it was just a patch of green, no flowers that i recall. this
happened the month of september.

Sounds like grass burs.
These plants are kin to the tomato and make little red fruit that pop out of the burs green then turn red.
You learn at a young age not to try and pull one up.
Every part of it is covered in sharp spines.
Since the resent rains we have had many varieties of solanum bloom.

One day I'm troubleshooting circuits with a meter and testing elevators with the Fire Marshall.
The next I'm fabricating stuff.
The excitement never ends.

New jobsite down by town lake right off Rainy street in Austin.
@karstopography knows exactly where this is at.
The lot by where my GPS shows where I am is now a new electrical substation going in.
The vacant lots north of me are now new high rise hotels.
The big building Towers of Town lake just south of me I put a new fire alarm system in over 20 years ago.
Town lake is just south of that.

None of the three places I lived in Austin are around anymore. All three, one built as recent as 1984, have been torn down for fancy student housing. One was out on Manor Road between I-35 and Airport, @worth1 and you know that was definitely not fancy back in the 1980s.

All the HEB stores in town have different names.
The one at Hancock center is known as the hot chick HEB and the one out east is known as the ghetto HEB.
This has been a tradition for as long as I can remember.
One thing is for certain the nightmare of homeless camps all along the area are gone.
Enough was enough.

Last night just before going to bed and shutting down lights, I looked outside from the kitchen window. I noticed some green glow on the sky across the street. I took my phone and went to the balcony in my PJs. I should have dressed up and driven to a better scenery to take some more publishable photos, but this has to do now.

We are not in the best aurora viewing area, but this fall there has been quite many nights with aurora showing this far south.

@karstopography; The Gotch appreciates Mountains-n-Elevation.

But as a runner, whose @$$ was summarily KICKED in Gunnison, CO (7703 feet/2348 meters) 14 months ago while attending a niece's wedding, he will unequivocally, and without reservation, aver that it's DAMNED tough suckin' wind.......up dere!

So I'm going home almost there and some silly woman is swating at a goose following her.
She says it's chasing her.
Well the poor goose gives upland the woman moves on.
Now the goose is walking in front of my truck.
Then it moves to the side and looks at me.
I get out and tractor it.
It wobbles it's tail and I walk it back home and into its pen.
No idea where the owner was but they had a lot of poultry.

I recently got this monstrosity dumped on me.
It's a view from the road in front of Texas A&M university.
The little shops and so on are made to look old.
