I had never heard Herman's Hermits version of that song before. While looking up the Skeeter Davis version, I ran across another song that she sang, that I hadn't heard either. She sings the words to the Floyd Cramer hit "Last Date" which is one of my daughter's favorite piano tunes. The attached video includes both artists back to back.
