Good luck going for productivity! Multiflora cherry tomatoes will be your best friend :P .

I'm not sure how to post pictures, so I'll just try to describe it.

We started the garden behind the Food Pantry from nothing in the Spring of 2022. The garden today has 300 sqft of raised beds in the back of the Pantry building (garden block, 2x6x8 boards) and 100 sqft of Vego metal raised beds in the front of the Pantry building. Most of the building materials were donated by grants and shoe leather asks to countless businesses and fundraising.

Last year we grew about 250lb of veggies and herbs for the clients. About 200 families facing food insecurity shop at the pantry weekly, so.. this is is a drop in the bucket, but it is something. We are looking to increase our productivity in the existing beds and we have a grant to add more Vego beds to the front in 2025.
Its a lot of work, but it is rewarding!

Thanks! I did not grow up here, but I discovered I have some ancestors from Ct from 1720's.
