Re: seed saving from new purple GMO cherry tomatoes
Since I didn't post in that other thread mentioned, I don't think I can be accused of beating a dead horse. If @TomatoNut95 were running for office, they'd get my vote.
I think we're GMO'ing and AI'ing ourselves into extinction. Vote NO to GMO.
That is all. Carry on.

This video, in which the CEO of Norfolk is interviewed, explains a lot about the purple GMO tomato.

I'm just finding out that there are apparently two varieties.svalli wrote: βMon Jan 27, 2025 12:26 amBased on the information on the NHP website the tomatoes sold in stores are not exactly same as the seeds, which were sold to home gardeners. https://www.norfolkhealthyproduce.com/faqs The ones sold in stores are called Empress. I wish the Lidls here would sell them too, but it is not yet allowed in EU.
The MMMM swap has seeds labeled for both varieties, the "Purple Tomato" and "Empress". I think I just listed them all as "Norfolk" in the Master List, I'd have to contact the donors to find out if they actually saved seeds from the market tomato, or bought seeds and saved those, or received seeds in a trade and might not know which variety that they have.
If you would like both, or either, send me a mailing address via PM.
