Growing different peppers and tomatoes, I have to cover with a net from birds :(

@wodehouse Sadly, I don't know other tomato growers that can recommend me varieties .. if I find a cool one I would let you know.. As mentioned, just regular red ones, very mild tasting from the supermarket.. Here I believe there is more variety of corn and beans .. I hope to find some in the future!

@karstopography you're absolutely right, last summer I only grew cherry tomatoes, but now I'm trying bigger ones, I will send some pictures later.. we have no frost here, meaning 32 degress Farenheit or less, you're for South California, do you have frosr there?
Actually, Iā€™m from Texas, not far from Houston/Galveston area along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, about 29Ā° North latitude. Most winters we do have frost, normally only a brief period and not too far below freezing. Tomatoes normally get transplanted into the gardens around March 1st. Some also grow tomatoes in the autumn. Summers present difficult conditions for tomatoes to thrive with the tropical heat and humidity. Small fruited, cherry types do better in summer.

Gardening can be a year around activity here. Cool season brassicas and other cool season crops do well November through early Spring. Warm season crops do well in the Spring and Fall. Hot weather crops work in late spring through early autumn.
My mistake @karstopography , it's great to have someone with similar climate.. what cherry tomatoes you like to grow in summer? Gardening it's year round too here.. amazing šŸ˜

@Josetom this season, Iā€™m growing black cherry and that one is very good. Rosella is also a nice dark cherry.

I like drying, dehydrating small fruited tomatoes like Principe Borghese, Pink Tiger and Juliet.

Welcome from Germany! If you are interested in a few more extraordinary tomatoes, please contact me. For health reasons, I can't grow as many tomatoes as in the years before, so it would be a pleasure to give them to somebody who can continue growing them.
