That's great nagi999. We love to add new vendor's. Please let us know how their service is and if their seeds grow true to type.

Re: Members Preferred Vendors for Tomato Seeds
Not MsCowpea, but even though Kitazawa Seeds doesn't have much of a selection of tomatoes, they have all the large Japanese tomatoes available in the US. I bought all of them last spring. Shipping is high but they ship in a small priority mail flat rate box so they didn't profit from the S&H. They shipped fast too. I had 100% germination.MissS wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 3:09 pm MsCowpea, I looked at Kitazawasa Seeds and Evergreen and they look like great resources for Asian vegetables but they do have a very limited listing for tomatoes. Would you mind if we started a new list in Other Vegetables or create a vegetable list in the General Section and added these there or should we just keep them here?
What do you all want? I aim to please.
I really appreciate you making the list.

These Canadian seed businesses offer heirloom/open-pollinated, regionally adapted varieties. Excellent customer service, too.

Annapolis Seeds https://www.annapolisseeds.com/
Salt Spring Seeds https://www.saltspringseeds.com/
Garden Prairie Seed https://prseeds.ca/ (very good selection of Canadian varieties)

I was also going to ask about Kitazawasa . They only sell about a dozen varieties of tomatoes?
Also, we should add Willhiteseed.com in Texas. They have a print catalog and .pdf.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Seedsnow. I've bought from them for years and never had a problem. They sell everything and have a huge selection.

I have also had good results with High Mowing seeds. They were healthy and all grew true.

IDK if we have separate threads for other vegs, but I would like to give Pinetree Seeds a thumbs up! I ordered some non tomato seeds from them this year, and so far really pleased with the germination. Shipping was a flat rate, and they processed my order fast. What's not to love?

Ditto. I loved their Honeycomb F1 melon and have been happy with them, tomatoes and all. They're a good place (my preferred place) to go for inexpensive hybrid tomatoes. They're probably even less expensive at big box stores, but I think they germinate better from Pinetree, in my experience.

I like Pinetree too. I have used them several times and was always happy with them so I am glad to see that you recommend them as I will not add a vendor unless someone other than myself recommends them. We do not have a list of veggie vendors as of yet. Shall we make one and if so where?Bower wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 3:22 pm IDK if we have separate threads for other vegs, but I would like to give Pinetree Seeds a thumbs up! Johnny's Selected Seeds is only selling to commercial farmers until April 28, 2020 due to the coronavirus.

I recommend Mike from https://ohioheirloomseeds.com
Vast selection of all kind of veggies, reasonable prices and very fast shipping. But actually he is overwhelmed with orders, due to the corona outbreak. So if you order now, you have to wait a bit longer than usually to get your seeds.

Re: Members Preferred Vendors for Tomato Seeds
In addition to many already mentioned, I've also ordered from Marianna's Heirloom Seeds https://www.mariannasheirloomseeds.com/.
Also, I see Seed Savers listed which is a wonderful organization for heirloom seeds. However, don't forget they also have an online Exchange where individual gardeners list and offer many varieties that aren't on the commercial sites. I'm growing several varieties I acquired through the Exchange this year and it's hard to believe they're not more popular.

Re: Members Preferred Vendors for Tomato Seeds
Big thanks to MissS and the nice tomato growers that add names to the original list. International buyers will have now a powerful tool to work on to find vendors. They will select those that accept to sell their seeds outside the U.S. I am annoyed when my order is ready and I want to pay then a vendor refuses to post it. If they all gave their shipping instructions on the first page of their site life would be much simpler.
Looking at postage fees is interesting: the highest I have found is 20$, a bit expensive when I found USPS First Class Mail International / First Class Package International Service costs $2.13. At the other end of the range papadennis quoted above asks for $1.49, outdated I suppose. An average price being $5.
I hope vendors are keen on visiting Tomatojunction and will update their sites if necessary !

Seeing as you are in France, have you ever ordered from Tomato Fifou (https://www.tomatofifou.com/boutique/tomates) or Cultive Ta Rue (https://cultivetarue.fr/boutique/)? I will likely try to order from both before next season starts. There aren't many online shops in the UK selling a large variety of heirloom tomatoes, most of my seed so far has come from Poland.

I’m afraid I haven’t though a friend of mine orders seeds from Tomatofifou and we share them. We never had problems with tomatofifou. I can’t give an opinion on cultivetarue, both sites are first associations of amateur gardeners that sell seeds to make gardening popular and save heirloom seeds, they are not allowed to make profits. If you buy seeds from them you work for a good cause !rossomendblot wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 4:43 pm @loulac

PS You could as well have a look at Kokopelli https://kokopelli-semences.fr/fr/c/seme ... ts/tomates
