Once again the first peony of the year is the fern leaf cross peony.
@Cornelius_Gotchberg this is the one given to you. It always takes my breath away.

Itoh Peonies, near which our newly acquired (and
MUCH APPRECIATED!) participant will reside.
Watered all the Peonies (and nearly everything else) today; the energy of greater'n a hundred blooms is in the air.

My Fern-leafed Peony is always the first peony to bloom. I decided to light her up so that I could enjoy her even more.

This is a fern-leafed peony which blooms way ahead of the pack. It's a species type with small delicate flowers. The larger peonies are still waiting to put on their show.
