I don't use Serenade or Actinovate. Can someone tell me, aren't they just for prevention, as is Daconil? I use copper which is for both prevention and treatment.

Yes, the biofungals are preventative...but I thought I sprayed them before the problem started (this year). I'm going to spray some copper in a few minutes. I just noticed my Blush plant is also affected but not as badly, so 3 out of the 4 types that are hit bad so far are the Artisan with wispy leaves.

Remember, less is more with copper. Too strong and it will make leafs stunted, takes 3 weeks for them to grow out if it. And try to avoid spraying the blossoms as much as you can. These were my rookie mistakes. Use it at the weakest recommended strength, it will be strong enough, I promise. If you see the blue color on the leaf, its too strong.

Thanks Ginger. I don't see how I can avoid spraying blossoms. It looks like most/all of my plants are getting this, it just seems the wispy-leaved (and the Sweet Aperitif) showed it first. Trying to decide if I'm going to use the battery sprayer or the hose-end. Also have some Daconil queued up in my Amazon cart. Here's a couple of Maglia Rosa leaves if anyone has any other ideas:

You can't totally avoid the blossoms. That's why I said as much as possible.

Well, I've gone from copper to Daconil. I seem to have perhaps two different conditions going on, perhaps due to different susceptibilities of different plants. Some of them get the yellowing leaves, but other plants seem to have leaves that just get black and shrivel up.

The Daconil seems to have helped a lot, but the tropical storm that just passed through here seems to have fired up my blight again on my Sweet Aperitif plants, which of course try to transfer it to their neighbors.

So this morning I pruned a bit and sprayed some Serenade and Actinovate, with some Bt thrown in for good measure because I think it's still hornworm season. I realized I have been spraying the Serenade at half strength because I had planned to be spraying Mycotrol with it (and you have to dial the Serenade back to keep from killing the active in the Mycotrol), however I scrapped my plans to spray Mycotrol regularly when the rep told me it could kill the Praying Mantids I had just released, as well as pollinators.

Hopefully the Serenade at the higher dose (twice what I have been using) will be more effective and I won't have to use the Daconil again.
