Anybody seen and or have one of these things.
It is a grilling skillet and several people have them for sale.
You put them on your grill to cook smaller things that can fall through or if you want to roll stuff around like meatballs.
They even have them in cast iron.

Yeah the only value I see in it is meatballs and I cook them in hot but not boiling water.
Somewhere around 145 F or so.

I got Edgar a rectangular tray-type one one year with a bunch of grill accessories. I'm not sure he's ever used it. Now, I love grilled vegetables, so I'd probably really love it, but when we grill it's more his thing.

The reason I cook meatballs in water at a low temperature is it doesn't melt the fat out.
Cool and a fast sear comes later.

Had to take a drug test two weeks in a row.
Not to worry it's just many of my job locations require it.
But since Target was in the same shopping center as the testing place why not.
Just shopping nothing really in mind.
But as I was looking in the kitchen section I realized I wanted a giant baking pan so I got one.
Then I remembered I wanted one of those fancy silicone basting brushes.
Found one of them too.
Good to 600F.
Been using paint brushes but they can't handle the temperatures I baste at sometimes.
Its the OXO brand.
Got all sorts uses for the giant baking pan.
Can't remember the last time I was in Target.
It has been many years.

Love almost all things OXO as they are made well and handle well.

I do also have a cheaper silicone brush from IKEA - I think between the chap and myself, we have three of those types of brushes, and they get good use. Putting on glazes, lightly oiling the new waffle iron he bought, etc.

That said the one thing I always slightly grumbled about was my OXO salad spinner. Works great, but the lid contraption trapped liquids, which made it a pain to get thoroughly dry. And then I saw that years ago (mine's got at least a decade on it) they updated the top to address that problem. When I can justify replacing something that ain't exactly broke, I'm going to get the new one.

All I went in for was to look for one of those skillets with all the holes in it.
They didn't have one so I just had to buy something.
I took a hand basket instead of a cart so I couldn't buy a bunch of stuff.
I tend to go a little overboard in the kitchen sections of stores.

I couldn't help myself I had to get the lodge griddle skillet to add to my collection.
I'm sure I'll find many uses for it.

So far I can't say enough good about the OXO silicone basting brush.
The paddles inside help to evenly spread the juices.
Highly recommend it.
Easy to clean too.

I'm liking the grill skillet already.
Searing some chunks of pork roast for a big stew in my Dutch oven.

I also picked up two more silicone basting brushes for 3 dollars each.
Not the fancy OXO brand just basic brushes.
Won't ever forget the regular brush that crinkled up when I tried to baste some hot butter.

So delighted I finally got an ice cream machine. Always wanted to make my own to avoid the excessive sugar used in store bought ones.

Haven't used one before, but I knew I want one with a built in compressor. This Whynter ICM-220 go for $325, but I grabbed a used Acceptable one for $125. It's a little smaller than a 0.7cuft microwave, and not that heavy.

I'm guessing the previous buyer returned it because it's noisy, but this is tolerable. The noise seems to come from the gears that drive the dasher. The compressor works great.

Meat Slicers

I can't count how many times I have talked myself in and out of getting one.
To be truthful there are a lot of pitfalls involved in purchasing one.
Most of which I have seen on YouTube are not very powerful.
You can hear the motor under heavy load from slicing any thing.
Anytime you put an electric motor under heavy load it builds up tremendous amounts of heat and will burn out.
The other is they may have a bigger blade but the motor is still under sized.
A bigger blade means more stress on the motor at a given size.
Plus many are loud.
Any recommendations?

Really looking at this one.
Great reviews and not loud.
Belt driven.

Just picked up one of those fancy citrus presses today.
Can't believe I didn't have one a long time ago being i use so many limes.
Its fantastic and gets every bit of the juice out.
It's also reversible for lime or larger lemons.

I love those juicers! I wouldn't be without mine, with all the lime I use in Thai and Mexican foods.
