I hope that my six Juliets do well. We set them out a couple weeks later than I wanted as I was sick. This is the first time we planted them.

One thing I have noticed with my Juliet tomatoes is they detach from the plant easier than any tomato I’ve ever grown. A mere whiff of pressure and off they come.

I'm always finding them on the ground.
I went out and fertilized and trimmed ugly leaves too

Juliet is the reigning champ for heat set. I've had it set several times through August here til I finally got sick of picking them. However, some other varieties like Black Cherry, Porter Improved, Coyote, Black Plum, and Blush are setting about as much as Juliet.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

Rained last night so no watering maybe.
Had a fresh from the vines tomato on the way to the house after getting off work.
I saw a big moth in the yard the other morning and sure enough I saw a horn worm a day or so later.
I still haven't gotten around to cutting the swiss chard for a meal.
Just not in the mood.
The darn beans keep putting out vines and branches.
No blooms.
Some blossom drop with temperatures at 105 but still fruit set too.

Are your peppers enjoying the heat, or is it even too hot for them?

The only pepper plants I have are volunteer and they aren't big enough to do anything.

They are still working their way out of the jungle but getting bigger.
No evidence of the seeds I showed the other day coming up yet but they should pop up soon.

Could I possibly get away with starting some new big dwarf seeds and expecting any results this fall?
I have a ton of them that are getting old.

With five months left in the season you've got time if you sow now. Wouldn't hurt to also sow some short season type like Sun Gold or clone a few Juliets.

I believe in Juliet's ability to thrive in the heat. She's always done a good job for me here in east central Georgia.

I've had a better Fall harvest than Spring harvest in each of the past 4 years. If you have big healthy plants by 1 October, you should be able to get a full 2 months of harvest time when temps are perfect for the garden. Most people down here only get 1-1.5 months (mid-May - 1 July) of harvest time in the spring.

The pulla pepper seeds I tossed in the planter are sprouting.
Several shots of Juliet tomatoes that set fruit in 100°F plus heat.
No pesticides.
Non GMO.
Gluten free.
No HFCS.
No added preservatives.
Environmentally friendly.
No added nitrates except for naturally occurring in the plants.
Carbon friendly.
No growth hormones.

That is some nice productivity. We we're lucky, we may have fresh tomatoes all summer.

I'm really wanting to try the pulla pepper ripe and fresh.
I'm hoping it'll be what I expect it will be as far as flavor.
It's going to be a long haul from sprouted seeds to a red ripe pepper.

Absolutely nothing.
It was organic raised bed soil from mericle grow an a product called Kellogg in one container.
About 50% of that stuff and perlite.
It was mixed several years ago maybe over 5 of not longer it and has decomposed a lot since then.
At one time it was mounded over the top of the tubs.
I've grown South American corn that didn't make good ears because it takes too long and all manner of stuff in these things with nothing added but 13-13-13 fertilizer.

I guess I'm going to have to suck it up and gather the darn things.
Probably and surly need to blanch and remove the skins.
That's going to take forever.
Maybe I can run them through the meat grinder with a small hole plate or something.
