I can't do the pretty picture thing....you know my first two words so it would give it away....

I was basically in the same place you were after my first two guesses, but then I tried ATOLL and then got the answer on the 4th try. I have a tendency to see the less common possible words first for some reason.

@Sue_CT I guess wordle doesn't care about commonality as it's basically a big dictionary. Hence why sometimes there is a groan on the internet occassionally. Although, not being american, how can an America not know bayou ? Have we forgotten Hank Williams ? As for atoll, I've come across that, some kind of bikini if I remember rightly

Lucky today.

2nd of 6; yeah, lucky's better'n good more often than not.

Anyone else notice a more than random number of words containing two letter Os, lately?

The Gotch

Lucky is always better than good. If I can make 5 words by just changing the last letter and I only have 3 guesses left, it is just luck. I actually have begun to think having a smaller vocabulary can be helpful at times, although not always. If you have a smaller vocabulary, you might only be able to come up with 2 or 3 words with that same last letter. I also tend to jump the gun a bit. If I find a word I can make with that last letter I plug it in, sometimes choosing between 2 or 3. What I probably should do is write down every word I can make and then decide which are the more likely words they would have used.

Ah @Sue_CT , I've come across that a number of times and the trick is to find a single word with all of the possible letters so you can get it in 1 go, it's a throw away but it does help to narrow it down rather than doing one letter change at a time for those similarly spelt words. Now, if only I could think of a word with fgbnrw in it......

IMO, only in games of pure chance (of which 1st try wordle is the epitome), which not all are; luck, if it ever starts, will run out.

Despite an inclination to lapse, go on hiatus, and the like, good will not.

If you're a gambler or an investor (forgive the redundancy), in the long run, which would you rather be?

That said, a little luck can't hurt when yer staring down STA_E on yer 5th try with D, G, K, L, N, R, & T still in the mix...
