OMG, one of the most common words used on this forum, lol. Now yesterday's, wordle 306, that is not a very often used word. I almost gave up, lol.

Yes, the Wordle answer for 307 is a common word and very frequently used on this forum. I was talking about the word I input on my second attempt, after getting absolutely no correct letters on my first try.

I had a doctor appointment this afternoon and I was doing one of the wordle knockoffs on my phone to pass the time, waiting to be called. On one site, I had three letters, 'D', 'O' and 'I', with none of them in their correct space, and I was struggling to come up with a word using all three. And I was down to my last try. To make things more annoying, some guy's phone kept going off in the waiting room and I think to myself, "Idiot", and right then, I looked back at the game and I had the answer...I-D-I-O-T! Thank you sir!

You's guys/gals, with a capable assist from the lovely and long suffering Mrs. Gotch, have me HOOKED.

Got it on the second guess pattern this morning, with a word I was...um...cautioned would be one they'd likely not use.

And here I thought I was the only one...

Everyone preparing for Dark Day when the despicably sinister NYT puts our addition behind a paywall?

I believe they have already used Adieu, it was the day I got the word on the first guess, lol. But I used it for quite a while and then changed it to a word that gets a couple of vowels plus a y at the end. It is working pretty well so far.

I’m sticking with Noise as my starter. DH has his own (different) strategy and is also pretty successful.

That is funny, I use Noisy, lol. I currently have a NYT online subscription although I don't use it much and often consider stopping it. But hopefully if they do it, my online subscription will cover it. I think they could also allow ads on the page and that would be annoying.

I often use EUROS or RUSTY.

I'm not concerned about the number of attempts it takes me to solve the puzzle, so if the television screen is on in the background I'll just look at whatever five letter word is on the screen and use that.

I try to get it in as few guesses as possible, but then I am sad because it is over so fast, lol. Everyone approaches it differently, so however you enjoy it most!

But it's fun to use opening words like POLYP or VOMIT. :D
