I hear the Doomsday Clock is stuck at 100 seconds to midnight. Not for me, as it's always "fifty five minutes past eleven"...
...add 5:04 for the song, it's 4 seconds past midnight. Nothing happened.

Thanks! You just sent me down a 2-hour reminiscence rabbit hole of The Clash and Big Audio Dynamite. Strange how music can take you back; you're right there and it feels like all those years since never happened.

Only 2 hours? It takes longer to get to the bottom end of the rabbit dub hole.

Way Back Home featuring some mighty fine cyclistry accompanied by the (IMO) richly melodic tune Wax-n-Wire (Loch Lomond) whose lyrics are...um...out there.

He didn't read the sign.
I think I saw one of that cyclist's videos a few years ago, much shorter and no musical accompaniment. This was MUCH better.

I'm moving this over from another thread, so that I'll know where it is, and don't have to go searching for it.

When The Levee Breaks...
GREAT (IMO) cover, with superb remote/on location international participation, of the original Memphis Minnie/Kansas Joe McCoy tune which Led Zeppelin made famous in their untitled 4th album.

It's a dark song depicting a dark event, the devastating 1927 Mississippi River Flood.
This here (and the Led Zeppelin version) are Très more edgy than the original, which appears almost uplifting by comparison.
The Gotch
Uplifting is what those people needed in their lives, back then. I can easily hear it in their music.
But, I don't understand today's rap music, as it's not uplifting to these ears.

All hail the King! George Strait rocks the last night of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo last night with over 80,000 fans. There was no rodeo last year due to Covid.

I came across this group quite by accident. Glad I did!
