Some do and some do not. There is always a chance for cross pollination if you do not bag blossoms, but I believe it is relatively small. And most times those crosses can become joys anyway! The goal is to get seeds out- and especially the more rare ones, so they are grown. We welcome your seeds!

I am just now growing tomatoes after a 5 hiatus becoming an expat, living in 8 different places. I belatedly become aware of Carolyn’s passing and the beautiful tribute to her. I have read through each and every reply to this post, tearing up frequently. I too was a recipient of her generosity. What a beautiful way to honor her memory.
Her book and the forums she participated in inspired me to grow many heirlooms. Now, finally settled, with a garden of my own in the Andes Mountains in Colombia, I was able to obtain seeds of Cherokee Purple. I have shared seedlings with several friends and neighbors, spreading the passion that Carolyn so generously and infectiously shared with me.
After the 2020 growout was there a final list of seeds received and shared in her honor? Those seeds are now 5 years old. Should an effort be made to refresh those seeds that are not currently available commercially?
