Re: Random and miscellaneous pollinator photos
Can anyone identify this salvia? I bought it yesterday at a local nursery. They had several pots and all were mislabeled, so nobody knows what this is. Vivid pink and pale peach bicolor.

Yes it is an x jamesis. It is 'Shell Dancer'. It's one that I really like and plant most years but not this one. I have to order new plants every year due to my climate and this one was sold out by the end of January.

Carpenter Bee. These are the main pollinators at the moment. The honey bees are off someplace else.

The Italians are here! Italian honey Bees, that is. Put them in their new home yesterday. They are already coming back with pollen. Main bloom here at the house now is Southern Magnolia, Ligustrum and Clover when it isn’t getting mowed down. These bees seem to ignoring the garden for now, although they are 30 feet away.

Golden Coreopsis, with what I think is some kind of Miner Bee? I've never seen a Bumble Bee with this coloring in my area.

Re: Random and miscellaneous pollinator photos
SpookyShoe I have seldom if ever seen any bees on periwinkle which is why I do not grow it anymore.
Your small moth is a butterfly. You can tell the difference because a moth will have feathered antennae while a butterflies antennae are straight with a bulbous end.
