Is their shipping still excessive? I stopped ordering from them years ago, along with Johnny's, and some others, because of that.

They've gone to a flat $8.95 for most stuff. Nope, not gonna pay that for a few packs of seeds.

And certainly not buying any plants to be shipped either. And whatever garden tools I need, those will be bought locally.

It's really too bad that seed companies don't have a reasonable cheap rate for small orders of up to 3 envelopes of lightweight small seeds. They have no idea of how many times they are losing orders because people won't pay what seems like excessive postage. Some times I do go looking for other seeds on the site to make up a bigger order worth the postage, which is what I think they expect you to do. But about 80% of the time I just drop out. I wonder how much of a "handling" fee is usually folded into postage costs.

Postal rates are going up again. On top of this January's 3 cent raise, the cost of a stamp is going up another .03 on July 9. It's part of a ten year plan to increase rates. They keep justifying it by saying our rates are the best bargain in postal rates world-wide. I don't give two hoots what other countries charge. I better stop here before I get into Bernie Sanders' push for a $17/hr minimum wage.
