Yeah I took a look yesterday evening, and there is some of this happening on all the larger stems, which appears to be simply a tearing of the green part of the leaf which didn't keep up with the continuing growth of the leaf stems. So this is a result of not harvesting when I should, and you probably haven't seen it because your harvest is more timely.BlueDog wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 11:52 am @Bower. Ok, this helps me visualize what this looks like. I was visualizing it with separate leaf stems, but this is a single leaf with voids. This makes much more sense. I guess now I’ll be able to mow in peace. (Lolol) I still haven’t seen anything like it.

@BlueDog My apologies for not noticing, I made an incorrect assumption. I was just trying to be helpful. It is no big deal one way or the other.

I don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch, but I believe I may have found the Mammoth variety I’ve been searching for. That’s the good news, the bad… I won’t know for sure until spring. Hey, at least it’s a chance! Lol.
@zeuspaul No worries. That’s the problem with all this digital stuff. Sign of the times I suppose.

@BlueDog I just wanted to mention that Rhumungous flowered and set seed this year, and I saved some seed in case anyone wanted to try it. Just packing some seeds for a swap, and I found the paper bag - they may need to dry a bit before packing due to persistently humid conditions. But I will clean them up in a couple days.
