Hi everyone,
My name's Kate and I am growing in Bristol, south-west England. Until 2019 I had only grown F1 cherries. 2020 was the first year I experimented with 20 different varieties and became totally hooked! I have posted a review of my 2020 growing season on the grow logs page. I have really enjoyed reading the posts here, and wanted to join and say hello. Thanks for having me!

Welcome from Austin, Texas, where it's now 61-degrees F...about 25 miles northwest of Bastrop, Texas...(home of Worth1). Freezing weather is forecast for the weekend, with possible snow on Monday. Tomato plants in the cold-frame here are in five-inch pots, with plans to bring them indoors tomorrow.

Hello! Isn't the world of tomatoes so exciting? My first foray into more interesting varieties was Real Seeds too. Little did I know that was just the tip of the iceberg!

Hi there, thank you- I haven't even heard of Vertiloom and Tomatofifou- will have to check them out! ....Well, I say that.... I really don't need any more seeds.... my "shortlist" for which I have seeds is 56 varieties this year.... some which I bought, and some which were gifts from friends. I'm excited to grow some of the dark tomatoes, try a brandywine for the first time, and some more early bush tomatoes.

I am sending some Latah seeds to a friend of mine in Liverpool this week, who is new to growing and was seeking tomato reccomendations.... They were so early and tasty for me I thought they might be a good choice for the chilly north

Do you have varieties you are particularly excited to grow this year?

It's too late now, the tomato bug has bitten you, there is no escaping it.

Latah does very well up here, it's almost always the first to ripen. I really like the taste too.

Most of the varieties for this year are new to me, but I am particularly excited for the two dark tomatoes, Daniel Burson and Big Cheef.
