Where to buy orange sweet pepper powder
I'm looking for a place where I can buy orange sweet pepper powder (or flakes that are nearly powder). No capsaicin. Must be orange. Capsicum annuum. Those are the only requirements.
Location: SW Idaho, USA
Climate: BSk
USDA hardiness zone: 6
Elevation: 2,260 feet

So what you are looking for is orange sweet paprika powder flesh only no seeds from orange peppers.
There are at least two types I know of, one is a red paprika that has the seeds ground with it the other is the dried flesh and no seeds.
The one with the seeds or whole pepper has an orange look.
Sounds like a trip to Budapest is in order.
Why on earth the US has such a small selection of paprika in stores is beyond me.
Most people I know think it is a decoration for the top of food and has no flavor but I use it by the handful.

You can't argue with a closed mind.
You might as well be arguing with a cat.

Re: Where to buy orange sweet pepper powder
I don't think I've ever seen it in a store. Two years ago I started growing paprika peppers for the purpose of making my own powder. Last year I grew 'Alma' but wasn't real happy with it. This year it's 'Feher Ozon'. Five peppers were pulled last night and I also have enough cayennes to get out the dehydrator. Then I'll whiz both dried peppers into powder. There's a noticeable difference between store-bought paprika and homemade. Oops, I also need to put some garlic into the dehydrator for the same purpose. Homemade garlic powder is awesome!
Green jalapenos also make a nice powder.
