Gingers
There are many stalks of this ginger in bloom. They can grow 6-7 feet tall. Very fragrant.

Re: Gingers
The scent of ginger is super nice. Great that you can grow it there. I've only seen one with a cream coloured flower in a greenhouse, once. It had a marvelous scent as well. I think that was the regular culinary ginger.

Re: Gingers
Alas, I have no hummingbirds now. The spring migration has been over for a while and I won't get any birds from the fall migration until about the middle of August.

SpookyShoe, I’m surprised you don’t get nesters hanging around for the summer. My female is still around and in fact I’ve seen the male a lot also these last 4-5 weeks.

Re: Gingers
I have seen posts on on neighborhood app regarding people who have birds over the summer, but very few people say this.
I have never seen birds stay over the summer in my yard and I have lots of plants for them to feast on. I would think the summer birds would choose me.

Re: Gingers
So far this year I've had chickadees, nuthatches and 2 pairs of winter wrens nesting in my yard. I'm rich.
