Greetings from Yorkshire!
Which bit do you hail from?
I'm in Leeds and seem to have naturalised here, despite not being born in the country, let alone the county!

HI @Jeannine Anne
Nice to see you posting again. I took a chance seeing your name and describing yourself as a newbie. Can there really be two tomato addicts with such a pretty name ?? Alas, reuniting with an old friend made my day.
I remember your great downsizing. I vowed to do the same, but maybe I will be more realistic next year for my needs. Four 36 cell tomato trays and counting....

Jeannine I remember you! In fact I recently thought about several members of TVille who have not "crossed over" & wondered about them, you included. So nice to see you here

Good to see more people from the ville finding their ways here. Remember reading many of your posts there even though I wasn't a member there.

I learned about tomatoes with Moneymakers when I was a kid about 70 years ago .. who knows without Moneymakers I may not be here LOL. In fact I still sow one plant every so often in memory to my dad who taught me and yes the 2 seeds I sowed to get one plant have just popped..memories of me and my dad in his first greenhouse learning together are worth it. Whatever they taste like.
Oh that's so nice that you grow a Moneymaker in memory of your Dad. At least they taste good cooked, especially in an English breakfast
.
I donate them to the foodbank and they love them , but they do taste better than the grocery store I think XX Jeannine

Downsizing is the disease of growing old but I still manage to do quite a bit. Lots of huge pots a decent size Victorian glass greenhouse , a tiny patch of lawn with a few fruit trees and this year a long sunny border to sow a very rare squash in. A 3 tier grow light fixture set up inside for over the winter and lots of potato bags so I will do just fine.
Have a great season too XX Jeannine
