Sam’s and Owen’s indoor cross grow outs
This winter we have been growing out two full sized tomato crosses made in memory of my daughter Kaysi.
A set of 8 stick crosses my friend Russ made for me while I was grieving.
12 micros have been growing and my 10 year old son wanted to start to learn, so he is working on crossing some micros.
It has been a very simple task in this tower (which was very expensive) but no soil and ability to house so many plants I really think will make it well worth the money.
I will likely start a second topic for our large outdoor garden space. Just for ease of keeping up with what is happening in each space.

What a an awesome tour you have. I don't remember ever seeing anything like it. A great use of space for growing tomatoes.
Your son is starting to get his feet wet and will soon be a pro. You sure are going to be busy growing all of his crosses out. I bet that you both find some great new tomatoes.
I'm so sorry to learn of the loss of your dear daughter. There are never any words to describe the depth of emotion when you lose a child. All that I can say is that I understand your pain well.
Grow logs (glogs) are a great way to keep track of your gardening projects from year to year. It helps you to stay organized and to remember what works or not from year to year. We do have a forum for glogs and it is fun to read and see what others are doing. You can learn quite a bit from seeing what failures and successes that they have had.

This is a “Tower Garden”
How have I missed the glogs?! I’m still learning. I’m sorry you know what I know. Today is Kaysi’s 18th birthday. She passed May 22,2024 in a car accident
Tomatoes have been helping me stay sane, adding some noise to the deafening silence.
I do enjoy reading of others plans. Off I go to find them.

The tomato tower is a beautiful tribute to your daughter.

It's wonderful that you and Owen are doing this together, Sam. It's a picture of love, and I think your success is a certainty.
