Has anyone here ever tried putting cottage cheese in tomato soup after it's done?

I thought it might taste good, since tomato-based pasta tastes pretty good with cottage cheese.

I haven't tried it, yet.

I do put cottage cheese in my lasagna, but I don't know that seeing the little lumps floating around in soup would be that appetizing. Taste wise, probably ok. Let us know if you try it, maybe you will set a new trend!

Many years ago (back in the 70s) I remember trying a recipe for a cold tomato soup with some cottage cheese in it, but it was blended totally smooth, so it just lighted the color. It was good, and I also made similar recipes with sour cream and yogurt.
