34° at the nearby airport. I don’t think it got that cold here. Porch thermometer has 39°, but it might get a little heat bleeding off from the house. Dead calm and no sign of frost on the roof or ground. 62° today, sunny. Not too far from seasonal averages. Overall, this autumn has been warmer than the long term average.

Description of the all time record 24 hour snowfall for Texas, 26” in one 24 hour period in Hillsboro. Happened in the week before Christmas 1929. Will we get a repeat this year?

Already up to 64° at 10 am, and maybe up to 1/2" rain, so far, but this is when it's supposed to get more constant, and much heavier, later on, with heavy winds. Occasionally early on, I've heard rain blowing against the house, and saw some lightning, late last night. Time will tell what the total is, but whatever it is, we need it.

It's been cold and rainy for most of the past couple of weeks. My back does not like it.

Re: How's your weather?
Sub-zero temps have arrived. A high of -11 F around 2PM right now, expected to go down to -15 F tonight, then a slow warming trend to near 30F by Sunday. A couple of inches of snow on the ground.

Re: How's your weather?
We're on the yo-yo here, instead of making that smooth transition to winter temperatures. Some lovely cool crisp days (dry!!!) some very frosty nights, but every few days there's another SE gale driving the highs up into the 40's or even 50's F, plenty wind and heavy rain. I have a lot of leaks around the windows with wind and rain from that direction... just hoping things hold together until I can start window replacements next spring.

Re: How's your weather?
Well, around here, last week was nice and cold. Best weather for buck season in years. Able to hang deer for the whole week. But too windy by late week. Fog yesterday. Today it warmed up and was a 60F steady/hard rain. No choice but to process hanging meat. Tonight the temp is plummeting to 20 or 25f and the wind picking up. So tomorrow will be hairy 20 ft up a tree with 20mph / 40 mph gusts and high of 30/32F. I'll probably stop at 15 ft. We have a good plan, avoiding a now dangerous creek crossing from this heavy rain. We'll see. I have a feeling (and last year's experience) to believe this will be worth it. Late second week last year, there were 4 good bucks back there, herded up and safe from casual hunters. We only get so many years here, so no point in holding back just because of a long walk and a little wind and cold.

First Fahrenheit sub-zero (-2°F/-19°C) temperatures of the season, the kind of cold that shocks the lungs as you's draw breath.
It's expected to soar to a balmy 10°F/-12.2°C later, and while I haven't abandoned flip-flops when fetching the morning paper...yet....the shorts have the day off...

32° at our airport 3-4 miles away. A little frost on the roof here at the house. None that I can see on the vegetables.
Heading to 67°. Good winter garden weather.

Re: How's your weather?
We finally have a couple of days of sun after several weeks of cloudy, dark weather. But the clear skies helped the overnight temps go down to -20F (-29C) instead of the -15F that was predicted. One cat still insists upon going out, but then I have to walk around to the other door within 5 minutes to let her rush back in. The other cat is smart enough to not bother.

Re: How's your weather?
More than 20° colder today than yesterday, when it got to 65°, and VERY windy. Only supposed to get to 42° today - 6° below average. And even colder the next two days - mid to high 30s - but at least the wind will subside. Then, the temps go up again.

Has been around 25C/77F the last few days, building up to 38C/100F locally on Monday when I have to take the Mrs back to Melbourne to get her stitches out, going to be around 40C/103F when we're down there with the north west of the state, Mildura area forecast for 45C/113F. Some areas of South Australia and New South Wales may go higher than that.

Re: How's your weather?
Breezy, a little, and straight out of the east. A few very light sprinkles around. This time a year, a substantial flow out of the east means temperatures hovering in the 60s. Continental Shelf waters in the northern Gulf of Mexico from here to Florida are mostly in the sixties. Corpus Christi just a little to the south will be ten degrees warmer today. The flow there is more out of the deep water, tropical Gulf of Mexico.
