Re: How's your weather?
i hear ya dan.
we got about 12 inches yesterday.
it has been snowing most of today, several inches more. i spent a lot of time
outside blowing snow today. snow likely till the end of next week. burning diesel.
we could have a hundred inches before december is done. and winter is just warming
up so to speak.

Re: How's your weather?
We got another foot since Sat. afternoon. "Lake Effect Snow" we call it. We have not had this much snow in 35 years. It's up to the top of my garden fence and we're supposed to get another 5-6 inches by Tuesday.

57° for the low. 70° currently and likely about the high temperature for the day. Beautiful sunny day for a walk which we just completed.

Re: How's your weather?
yup.
another winter storm alert. snow and blow from now till thursday.
i just have to make it to work and back in one piece four more days,
tomorrow being one of them before retirement from the work force.
hoping we get off light here. i will be out moving snow before a ten hour
work day. i'm a little anxious about how weather conditions might be.

One good thing about snow cover, it protects your perennial plants.
We broke the record for rainfall in november with close to 13 inches. To say the place is sodden would be understated.
Now we had a freeze last night of -5C/23F with no snow. Everything covered in thick hoar frost. Tonight forecast to drop to -9/16F.
Mercy is, the sun is shining again. 3 days in a row without rain??? Finally.

73° for the high today. Radar showing showers in most directions, but no rain here yet. I put out some granular fertilizer in the garden yesterday afternoon so I hope we get some showers.

A dusting of snow to be followed by subzero wind chills. Tomorrow's pantry is going to be fun! And I know how to layer my clothes! I wish we could build a big bonfire!

Re: How's your weather?
made it to and from work ok today.
started off with light freezing rain this morning that made blowing the drive way
a chore. once at work the rain turned to snow, and the wind started screaming from
the west. you couldnt see across the parking lot at times. got about 4 inches of snow,
more to come. temp in the teens. winds gusting to 50 mph. whoooeeee!

It's still 44° at almost 11 pm, and not getting much cooler until later in the morning, when it starts getting colder! Rain starts around midnight, on and off through about 8 am, and in my area, if any is snow, it won't be sticking, around here, since it should still be in the 40s. Tomorrow is supposed to get windy - 25 mph sustained, up to 50 mph gusts. I think I'll be staying inside the next couple of days!

In Denmark, we have grey, but relatively dry, days - with temps around 4 C (39,2 F). We have had the first snow showers a couple of weeks ago, but that's all gone, so any chances for a white Christmas have come and gone again...but the hope remains green

1st single digit low (7°F/~-14C) of the season, along with measurable snow. This forces The Gotch to don proper footwear (sneakers rather than flip-flops) to retrieve the morning paper.
Haven't given up the shorts......just yet.

We’ve topped out at around 64° where it is now. Temperatures should hover around 60° until dark and drop to 45° by dawn tomorrow. Tomorrow looks sunny, but cool for these parts, with a high of 58°. Looks like a showery Saturday and Sunday, kind of need the moisture.

Re: How's your weather?
-9C last night, cold and dry today with little wind, mostly cloudy. Out in the woods again clearing up small stuff, did get cold feet.
Every evening this week we had patches of clear sky at dusk and a lovely 'star' (probably Venus) as well as a crescent moon making an appearance just at dark to my south. Such a welcome sight, after the wet cloudy fall.
Rainstorm again overnight tonight with wind warning, from SE gusting up to 120 kph/75 mph on the coast. Will be plus 8C, about 46F, tomorrow.

Getting some moisture today. Haven’t checked the rain gauge. Nearby airport has just under 1/2 inch. Feels very cold, but temperature is only 47°. Supposed to get to 67°

Re: How's your weather?
They said that yesterday was the coldest in the area since January 22nd (36° was my high), and every day in December has been below average, along with these winds we've had! Getting to 40° today - warmer than the last 2 days, but still well below average, and 53° is the forecast high for Sunday. Some rain forecast for Monday and Wednesday, which is good, since it is still very dry around here. Tuesday is supposed to be the nicest, getting up to 57°, and clear.

43 and raining.
Keeping the house nice and comfortable with two little space heaters I bought yesterday.
One in the bedroom and one in the living space.
It's actually too hot at 72 darn degrees F.
Had to turn them down.
