Re: How's your weather?
We have -5°C and a snow storm raging. Luckily I cleared most of the flower pots and put all frost bitten annuals to compost last weekend. Black-eyed Susans were still flowering on the windowsill outside despite some freezing nights and shortening day .
These photos were taken Tuesday from outside and today from inside.

Re: How's your weather?
We saw a patch of blue sky on Monday morning this week, with spectacular rainbow, and hoping for another break like that. Today the rain has tapered off to drizzle, fog, and showers. Weatherman last night, says we've had two days in November without rain.
It's awesome not to have any snow yet though.

Re: How's your weather?
It was misty all of yesterday morning ahead of a front that is coming through today. Clear today and winds will be gusting up to 35 mph this afternoon and evening. Temps will drop and lows will be around 35 for the next four days. It's past time when Mr. Frosty pays a visit. Probably when the winds lay down.

Looks like I got just under an inch of rain last night. Still possible showers and flakes of snow in the next two days, but nothing much expected.

Re: How's your weather?
we have had a number of foul weather days. high winds, rainy, temps
in the 40s for the most part with lows in the 30s. approaching the weekend
temps will drop to 30s during the day and 20s overnight. chance of snow likely
until thanksgiving. the snow will soon be piling up. the landscape will be looking
much different by the end of next week i suspect.

It's 35 this morning and since the wind died down overnight we have frost. Lows in the low 30' for the next three days until it gets warmer again.

Re: How's your weather?
Cold and windy, albeit the 40s F is balmy for November. We got our first snow of the year this past Thursday, which of course is food pantry day. I'm glad that data management is an indoor job, and it was still cold! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I'm grateful for long johns and wool socks! The runners, those who take the food out to the clients' cars, were quite wet.
Temps are going down! Forecast for the Friday after Thanksgiving is a high of 30F. Time to seal off the patio door for the winter. Miss Yin won't like it but life can be this way! That little bit of plastic, along with thermal drapes, makes a HUGE difference! Soon enough it'll be subzero!

Re: How's your weather?
The rain total here, starting from that thunderstorm late Wednesday night, is up to just under 2¼". It stopped early Thursday morning, but in the early afternoon started up again, mostly mist, but eventually some steady rain, and there was supposedly some snow in the morning (before I got up!), but melting as soon as it hit. Then yesterday, the rain continued much of the day, until late afternoon, and a few times I could hear it blowing against the house. Today, the rain is gone, but the wind is back, with a vengeance! Warmer though - 42° yesterday, 54° today, a little warmer today, then up to at least 60° for a couple of days.

Re: How's your weather?
We are closing in on record rainfall for the month of November, with totals currently around 300 mm/ 11.8 inches and the record for november here is 313mm, set in 1906.
Also closing on the record for rainiest month ever, that is 333mm/ 13 inches, set in October 1892.
I'm really grateful that none of the november precip was piling up as snow!
Temperatures have been far from freezing but forecast has them dropping to normal this week with freezing lows overnight. Here's hoping the extreme amount of precip also comes to an end!

Re: How's your weather?
Got the first frost last night. Only got down to 37°, but there was absolutely no wind, which is probably what brought it on, along with the humidity, which simply hasn't been around, along with the rain! The plants I still have out there won't be bothered by the frost, except maybe those two pepper plants, that are still out there! Much colder later in the week, and next weekend, so I'll have to shut off my valve downstairs, and drain the pipes again.

Re: How's your weather?
Supposed to get to 86° today. I have my doubts, but still warmer than typical.
Cooler tomorrow, 74°, warm again Wednesday, 83°, then cooler Thursday, 73°, with the cool trend, mostly 60s for the highs starting Friday and persisting for the long range forecast.
Going to plant some more salad greens, lettuce, spinach and maybe a few more carrots today or tomorrow and well before the expected cool down Friday. Want to get the germination moving along quickly in the warmer conditions or otherwise it will take too long if I delay things until the weekend.

Re: How's your weather?
Way back in the summer I had an experience where I woke up freezing to death and shaking really hard and I couldn't catch my breath.
I got up and tried to turn the heat on but I was shaking so hard I did something to the thermostat and it quit working.
Try as a may I couldn't fix it but was able to get the ac working but not the heat.
I found out I was in a bad way and didn't realize it.
The same thing happened again later and I ended up in the hospital close to death.
Well I never replaced the thermostat and I have just been dealing with the cold snaps coming through.
Even when it got down in the 30's with no heat.
Oddly enough I didn't miss it.
I finally picked up a new thermostat today in case it gets cold enough that I might need one.
The house holds heat and cold ready well.
Right now the weather is beautiful.

Re: How's your weather?
We have 18F and just under 2 inches of snow on the ground. It will be a white Thanksgiving, and temps are expected to keep getting lower in the next week. Down to 0F or -2F by Friday night, depending on which forecast I look at.

Re: How's your weather?
That's a lot of snow per day! I hope you have the plow hooked up and the blower gassed! Yowza! Stay safe!
It's bone-chilling cold here, with wind chill factors right around zero. I'm glad to be an indoor kitty, and Miss Yin agrees! We're supposed to get a clipper moving through this week but not too much snow, only 1" or so according to the weather guessers. Thursday pantry should be fun! Winter weather, all right.
