the best laid plans............
I had plastic drop cloth over my tomato plants to protect from frost, but the recent heat cooked the plants.
Uncovered pepper plants are still fine.
I picked some green tomatoes but they are pre-blush and may just rot before turning.
Some of the green tomatoes have heat damage.
I am running out of saved rainwater anyway so it may be for the best.
Still in a drought.

We started the season in a drought here and ended the same way.

Same here except for this week's rain. Still in drought but the final ten tomatoes are still in the green stage with not much indication of a blush. Three tomatoes yesterday may be the end of the season. Here it is Nov 6 and no temps even down into the 30s. Very late for this part of the country. Tomorrow may be pull day.
