How do I buy just one of these without paying $7.99?

1500-50

The size for the victorio 250. Broke on me after 10 years. The shaft is 1/2" (,497" or so). The reduced shaft size where the clips goes is .375". So it looks like the clip is designated 1500-50. https://www.arconring.com/stamped-retai ... gs/e-rings.

ugh
I guess I'll 3/8" drill a nickel penny or quarter. and cope it out.

@JRinPA a
I got a couple of those types of clips at my local ACE hardware store a few years ago. Also if you have a old fashion Hardware store you might find some there.

Found 3 washers in the toolbox that looked about right, cut an arc out of one but too much. Ended up just squeezing it once it was on and it seems like it fits. Just will need a pliers to remove.

Two parts when I got this, that I thought would fail,
1 the eclip
2 the flat oring for the main seal.

the set came with four of the main seals since it came with all four sieves. And I have only wrecked one so far, due to not oiling it when putting on.

We had a plumbing store in town, it was nice...but it has been a few years since they changed it over to something else. Flooring, I think. Regardless, it was after 5 pm and would have gone until tomorrow.

If that fails, try Ace and take the old clip with you. I don't know about your store but ours is really great about helping you find stuff. There's an older guy in the nut/bolt/washer/etc area who knows where every last nut, bolt and widget is or if they even carry it. And if they don't have it he'd hunt for something else that might work just as well even if I'm just buying one of something. Those kind of folks are hard to find these days.

I would stop in and check at ACE but I'm never near one. I was next to a TSC today which might have had one. Didn't even think about it. Thing is, if I saw 75 cents I'd buy it. If I saw $2 I would not. I need that $2 for gas. I can make a suitable eclip, but I can't refine light crude or even pump it out.

I think this will work fine.

The problem is, when the complete kit was sold, it should have came with 5 of these instead of 1. Four extra of these eclips and for the cost of 2 pennies per stamp and 4 extra of the little rubber shaft seals for 2 pennies per seal. That's all it would have cost. They are both disposable type parts. I think I paid 100 or 120 for the whole combo.

There are so many things I would not allow to be imported into this country had I the power. I bet a lot of these go into the trash after that breaks.

I don't know that I like that new avatar, it was so bright out today, that is true color. But I liked my old dull one that was also true color, for that particular day.

I thought that this thread was going to be about some newfangled e-joint/e-roach clip.

I thought I got it - I had to go down and look, to make sure, but way back, I got something like it, from Harbor Freight - a collection of e-clips. Different back when I got it, but there's a lot of them. Same with all the cotter pins, o-rings, locking nuts, and I don't know what else I got collections of, "just in case" things. Don't know if that size is in there, but it might be, if standard.

If you click on the photo it enlarges and you can read what sizes are in the pack.

We have an auto parts store that has all manner of stuff like this.
E clip might cost 50 cents at most.
I bought a couple wee ones for almost nothing.
I mean wee ones too.

I have a pack of brownells for small ones, I think 8 sizes, but nothing over 1/4". That the first thing I checked but it is gunsmithing/archery so I figured I was out of luck.

Actually I think I remember someone buying an HF eclip set...I wonder if they are downstairs in the work area. Seems like my brother may have bought a set and brought it down. Oh man that is terrible that I can't remember. I bought a 1/8" pop rivet assortment in a similar case years ago.

I live a good 12 miles from the closest one, 12 miles N or 12 miles S. Lot of stores like that. Kind of nice to still sort of live in the country. Walmarts are 5 mile each way but HF HD LOWES Best Buy ETC are all at the 12 mi radius, for now.

That case says it has 40 or 50 - either the 3/8" or the 1/2" will be the ones that might/should fit.

If the diameter of the groove is 3/8 then that's the one you want.

$7.00 for 300 pieces. Retail. Looks like I was spot on for that 2 cents each, 10 years back.

Midway has 1 rifle scope screw for the Ruger scope rings for around 7 dollars.
You can go to the Ruger web site and get all 8 for 7 dollars or some such thing.
They are tiny little screws too I think 6 48 thread.
