It's a great variety. The fruits can get huge, too. It does well with lots of water or with very little water. Haven't tried it with black plastic and a decent supply of fertilizer, yet, but I hope to grow it next year and see what happens. I'm not sure how it does against disease. The flesh beneath the skin is very peach-like in texture, juiciness, and appearance. Some people say it has very few seeds, but mine had a lot of seeds, for which I was grateful since I was saving them (although it had lots of meat without seeds, too). It reminded me a lot of an oxheart as to its meatiness, even though it wasn't an oxheart. The taste is a lot like Orange Minsk, Dad's Sunset, and Aladdin's Lamp. Its flavor is dissimilar from Persimmon's. It's not the earliest tomato out there, but it's not the latest, either. I'm guessing mine ripened in early to mid September. My seed source was the breeder, Ozark (on Dave's Garden; Ozark was giving away free seeds to anyone who wanted them years ago).

Yeah same, were they F6 generation? A real nice orange for around here.

edit yep looks like I got the F6. Saved again in 2016. Saved again in 2020 from a 2lb tomato. Have saved since but still growing out from the 2lber.

I wonder how Sam is doing, he made a good one and shared it out really well.

@JRinPA
They must have been F6 seeds unless he posted multiple offers in 2015, since that seems to be what he was giving out around the time I got them:

I got the seeds on May19th of 2015, after requesting them on the 14th (and I planted them all in 2016); I grew it again in 2017 from saved seed.

This is probably the offer that I saw (FYI: Carolyn participated in that thread): https://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1384864/
