First/big one off that giant tomato plant- a sun cracked 31 oz. It is a solid single blossom tomato, but feels light for size. I thought it would 2 1/4 to 2-1/2 before I picked it.

That's a beautiful tomato and I see another one coming along. Shade the fruit from the sun to keep it from ripening and the skin thickening. This helps to keep it growing a few more days. You can use anything to create a little tent for it to protect it from the sun.

That's a lovely row of tomato plants that you have got.

That plant is the only one that is folding leaves...the others don't seem to mind. I did give it the premier spot for full sun! Oh well. I'll save you some seeds from this one.

@JRinPA You only need to shade the fruit. Don't worry about the folding leaves. It will still grow while it's doing that. Some people just hang a cloth close by like a little tent. Don't put it on the fruit or it might get disease.

This is Large Membranous....our very first 2 pounder, surprisingly! In fact this fruit is close to 2.5 pounds!

My hubby has wanted a 2 pounder forever, so he's a happy guy!

I'm hoping to try growing a giant tomato next year but some of the better websites that I've seen selling seeds don't post the me in Scotland (UK). Can anyone reccomend a reputable vendor that does international shipping(a forever stamp will do).

Thanks

Gigante Farina single blossom

Flavor: Aside from the above average acidity, the flavor is mostly neutral. This one is slightly more than medium acidic/tart, and would be good for canning. But for fresh eating there are better 2pounder beefsteaks.

@maxjohnson I may be wrong, but I think that this puts you in the lead for the largest single blossom fruit so far :D

Its a Bolgaraskoe Chudo. I think. This was the year of the big tag mix up! I planted my seedlings after removing the tag with the intent on putting a larger one on the tomato cage. We've been eating buckets of Juliet Hybrid as a result. Here is a nice Mortgage Lifter. Image
