Tip: For maximum flavor, don't cook them for a long time, especially if they're in sauce or something like that. Treat them kind of like oregano, or garlic.

If you've never heard of wonderberries being used in savory dishes, you should know that in my opinion, that's their best use that I know about (and it's a very good use). Use them where you would use tomatoes in cooked dishes. You don't need to use the same volume of fruit as you would with tomatoes, though (as a pizza topping, in frittatas, and so forth). They go particularly well with tomatoes and onions.

I wanted to make some pasta, but it was too late to use the blender to blend some stewed tomatoes for sauce. So, I cooked (and drained) my garden rotini, added the following ingredients to them (in no particular order), and mixed:
• Frozen wonderberries
• Galapagos Island tomatoes
• Avocado oil (because it's the only generic cooking oil we have right now, and we have a lot of it)
• Parsley
• Oregano
• Paprika
• Black pepper
• Garlic salt

I squished up the Galapagos Island tomatoes. Anyway, it was pretty good. That seems to be a great way to add wonderberries to pasta (just adding them to the hot noodles instead of cooking them). Anyway, raw fruits in seasoned hot pasta seem to be a pretty good sauce alternative.

I remembered your post when I saw a packet of seeds on the sale rack so I bought some. They’ll be one of next year’s new-to-me crops.
