Re: MMMM non-tomato/pepper suggestions
I would be interested in the lemon grass. I'm learning to cook Thai food and finding lemon grass around here is a rare find.karstopography wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 8:50 am I could gather my lemongrass seed,it flowers and forms seeds every winter and this winter is no exception. The seed is viable, I’ve sprouted the seed in the past. Occasionally, volunteers come up around the container.
Is anyone interested in lemongrass seed?

Yes, the fragrant ones. Height doesn't matter.

Kind of overdid it today in my seed buying trip, $212.
Shortly, I'll post what is available.

Re: MMMM non-tomato/pepper suggestions
Suggestions for seed saving this year...
Herbs - the more exotic or "rare" the better. There will always be a much higher demand for Mrs. Burn's Lemon basil, than Lemon basil.
Lettuce and other greens, especially Asian greens.
Peas - snap, snow, shelling in that order, with few requests for soup/dry peas.
Tomatoes - that super tasty unknown to just about everyone variety, 20 to 50 packs, if you're up to it, would go a long way in making the swap successful.
Unfortunately, I've had no time in the past year plus to even look at catalogs, paper and online, to order seeds. Maybe this upcoming winter.
Please add anything you might be looking for.

Re: MMMM non-tomato/pepper suggestions
Is there anyone from Canada in the group that might consider ordering from a Canada only shipping seed Company -- Heritage Harvest Seeds? And has Paypal??? Reason I ask is because I'm a beanaholic in US and there's 3 rare bean varieties they have that I can't find for sale in the US that I'm dieing to grow. I'd pay for the order & postage but share the seeds between me and the group. Just thot I'd throw this out there & give it a whirl. It's not like I don't have plenty other varieties to grow (thank you Gary!!!)

Have you asked in the Heirloom Bean group on Facebook about the beans you want to try?

I will add to my forum thread wish list. Thank you.
My box with seeds I'm sending in already got mailed out today. It just might make it before the recommended deadline

I didn't know there was a fb bean group. I've tried searching previously but apparently didn't use the right wording. thank you so much!
