Indoor tomatoes

Hey guys,
Newbee here. Growing tomato plants indoors in tent with fans and grow lights. Plant seems healthy now and growing happily.
For whatever reason it flowers, they drop off and does it again and again. Usually pH water to around 6.5. Have not tested run off for ECC ever. Have tried pollinating with small paint brush but not sure I understand how it should be done.
We had 2 tomatoes form and ripen. 1 was about the size of a golf ball, and the other was about the size of a marble. This is over the course of 3 months.
7 gallon plastic pot. Fox farm ocean forest soil. Vipar p2000 full spectrum grow light. 6” clip on fan. Temps usually run around 82ish in the tent.
Thanks in advance!

I have had the same thing happen.
Some varieties are much harder to pollinate indoors than others.

Same here I’m grow mater indoors under grow lights as well this winter and they are just now getting some small buds but there turning yellow and dying just remember indoor fertilizer is not the same as out doors you have to cut it in half as far as pollination goes I use an electric toothbrush it works really well

Checked soil pH and found it a bit low at 4.8. (Blue lab soil pen) Run off was about 1200 ppm. Did a complete wash with 2 gallons of higher pH water. Then mixed up a gallon with new nutrients, cal mag and some myco juice, and set it to a pH of about 6.4. Dont know if pH and residual salts can affect fruiting or not, but thought it was worth the effort.
I feel like i can grow the dang plant, just cant grow the fruit part lol!
I do have a 6” fan in the tent, though it doesn’t move.

Just checking to see if anyone is growing indoors yet I have several maters starting and just got a new set of hanging grow lights from amazon that look like little flying saucers so that my better half can grow his own his way 😂

I have a bunch of micros in Aerogardens. I was planning to grow in a grow tent in our "sunroom", which turned out to be a "rain room" after we bought our house, but my husband has been working on weatherproofing for months, and every time he thinks it's finally ok, another leak starts up. I finally had to add a few buckets into my indoor grow room, but I don't have a good light set up, so it's very temporary.

I have Father Frost, Tiny Tim, Bajaja, Balcony Miracle Yellow, Orange Hat, and Florida Petite growing, and I am going to have to start some to replace the suckers I was trying to save for my buckets, which didn't make it. I am thinking Turgai and Little Napoli.

I also have a Uzbecksi Cucumber growing and it is AMAZING in the Aerogarden! It has clusters of cucumbers all over it.
SO GLAD to be back! I was locked out for about three months, for some strange reason.

Missed you all terribly!

@AKgardener Gardener

I was not happy with my Christmas Tree that I grew over the summer. I'd like to know what you think when you get some fruit. Fat Frog was pretty blah on first harvest, but just started my second harvest (It's about 10 months old) and it is very tasty this time around. It also grew 6-8" before the second harvest. :o

I also have two Father Frosts growing, and looking forward to tasting them. :)

@Stitchingmom I most definitely will let you know I have not tried any of those yet they all just germinated I’m really curious about bunny hop and how big it will get in my containers.

For overwinter I switch to 5000K lights to slow down the growing process.
I don't want them taking over the place.

Indigo blue beauty indoors should be interesting since it needs UV light to turn blue which is lacking indoors.
Possible grafting donor later on with non-blue tomatoes.

the 5000K is just an LED shop light.
I have a wispy foliage plant under it that is doing too well.
It must enjoy the 50F temps and that type of light.
It is starting to get blossoms as well as the phoenix plant.
The phoenix took a lot of abuse;it was on the porch and I forgot to water it for weeks.
Other plants would have dried up.
